About Me

My Testimony

As I look back upon my life, I see God’s gracious hand upon me as He has led me through experiences that have drawn me closer to Him. The very first and most important decision I made was Salvation. I was blessed to be able to grow up in a Pastor’s home. My life was filled with Bible preaching, singing, and teaching not only at church, but at home as well. Although I was a “good kid” I realized that I was not “good enough”. At the age of 13, on Easter Sunday April 24th, 2011 I truly realized I was a sinner and in need of a Savior and accepted Jesus Christ as my Savior.

Shortly after getting saved, I was baptized and gave my life to Christ to do whatever he wanted me to do.

At the age of 16, while attending a missions conference, God so clearly called me to be a missionary and I surrendered my life to that call. Once I graduated high school, I attended a Bible College in Kansas where I received Biblical and practical training for the ministry. I received my Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education and went on to use that degree to teach in a Christian school for 2 years in Texas. It was during that time of great preparation and experience that God nudged me to take the next step of faith and go to the mission field.

Upon finishing the school year, I took a survey trip to 4 different African countries where God so clearly confirmed Kenya as the place where He wants me. I am so thankful for what GOD has done in my life and I am looking forward to the future of what He will continue to do.

Pastoral Recommendation

Pastor Sven Larson

Dear Pastor,

“I would like to recommend Autumn Larson to you as a missionary helper to the country of Kenya. Autumn has been a faithful worker, teacher and helper here at Moore Baptist Church and has a call on her life to serve as a missionary. Autumn has taught Christian School, Sunday School, VBS, and helped in any area she has been asked to serve. Autumn is a faithful soul-winner, helper, and worker  with a great spirit and a servant's heart for children and ladies. Autumn will be sent out from Moore Baptist Church and she is solid on doctrine and standards.

As her father, I can tell you that Autumn has been a wonderful blessing in our home and family, and has demonstrated an obvious call of God on her life, and is whole-heartedly dedicated to that task. There is a great need and an open door in Kenya working with and training children and ladies under the ministry of Missionary Luke Shelby. Autumn will be a great asset of help to the mission field. Please consider supporting her and I believe your giving will be well used and much fruit will come from it, as many souls are brought to the Savior.”

Sincerely,

Sven Larson

Pastoral Recommendation

To whom it may concern,

It is my absolute pleasure to recommend Autumn Larson for the work of worldwide evangelism as she seeks to serve the Lord in Kenya. I do not doubt that Autumn will fully and consistently give herself to what God has called her to do. She will be a help and an asset to whomever she attaches herself to the Lord and His work.

Ms. Autumn Larson served at the NorthSide Baptist Church and Academy for two years, and God significantly used her during this time. Autumn was not only faithful to the task of full-time teaching in our academy but also gave herself to other ministries of the church. She participated in anything she was asked to do, often excelling beyond the requirements by pursuing excellence.

From the very beginning, Autumn began serving in the bus ministry, where she greatly impacted our community, and that impact continues today. She invested herself not only in the work but in the lives of people. God used her to extend the ministry of NorthSide Baptist Church and Academy.

I believe Autumn Larson is worthy of your financial and prayer support. Her compassion for the lost was evidenced by her witness. Your investment in her will reap eternal dividends.

Sincerely,

Adam Garber

Assisting Church Planters

The Shelby Family

As I serve in Kenya, the main desire that God has placed in my heart is assisting in church planting. On the field, I will be assisting veteran missionaries Luke  and Tonya Shelby in their ministry.

The Shelby’s have been serving as missionaries in Kenya for over 20 years. During that time, they have started a Bible college, planted several churches, trained nationals, trained missionaries, and much much more.

My desire is to be a help to the Shelby’s in their church and in any capacity that I can, as well as learn from their wisdom and experience on the mission field. I am looking forward to joining their team to help reach others for Christ.

Statement of Faith

The Holy Scriptures

The Old and the New Testament of the Scriptures are the verbal, plenary inspired Word of God. The Scriptures are inerrant, infallible, and God-breathed, and are therefore the final authority for faith and life. The 66 books of the Old and New Testament are the complete and divine revelation of God to man. The Scriptures should be interpreted according to their grammatical and historical meaning. The King James Version of the Bible is the only translation that is the sole and final authority of faith and practice. (2 Timothy 3:16-17; 2 Peter 1:20-21)

The Godhead

There is one triune God, eternally existing in 3 persons-the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. each are co-eternal in being, co-identical on nature, co-equal on power and glory, having the same attributes and perfections. (Deuteronomy6:4; Matthew 28:19; John 14:10,26; 2 Corinthians 13:14)

The Person and Work of Christ

Jesus Christ, the eternal Son of God became man without ceasing to become God. Having been conceived by the Holy Spirit, and born of the virgin Mary, in order that He might reveal God and redeem sinful men. The Lord Jesus accomplished His redemption through his death on the and by His shed blood became our substitutionary sacrifice. (Isaiah 7:14, 9:6; Luke 1:35; John 1:1-2; Acts 2:18-36; Romans 3:24; Ephesians 1:7)

The Person and Work of the Holy Spirit

The Holy Spirit indwells and seals the believer until the day of redemption. God is sovereign in the bestowal of spiritual gifts to every believer.  Gifts such as speaking in tongues and the gift of healing were temporary. (John 16:8; Romans 8:9; Hebrews 9:24; Romans 12:3-8; 1 Corinthians 12:4-11)

Salvation

Salvation is the gift of God brought to man by grace and received by personal faith in our Lord Jesus and repentance of sin. His precious blood on Calvary was shed for all man for the forgiveness of sins. (Matthew 12:31-32; John 1:12; Ephesians 1:7; 1 Peter 1:18-19; 1 John 1:19)

Eternal Security

Once a person is saved, he is kept in the power of God and remains secure in Christ forever. (John 6:37-40; 10:27-30; Romans 8:1, 38-39)

The Church

The local church, the body and bride of Christ is solely made up of born again, baptized believers. There is autonomy of the local church, and it is free of any external controls or affiliations or organizations. (Acts 14:27; 20:17, 28-32; 1 Timothy 3:1-13; Acts 13:1-4; Romans 16:1,4)

Baptism

Only water baptism by immersion is the scriptural way of obedience to Christ after a person gets saved. (Matthew 28:19; Acts 2:41-42)

The Second Coming of Christ

Christ will rapture His church prior to the seven-year tribulation period. Christ will visibly and personally return with His saints to establish His earthly Messianic kingdom. (Psalm 89:3-4; Daniel 2:31-45; Zechariah 14:4-1; 1 Thessalonians 1:10
